DIANE HURT OF LAKE HAVASU CITY EARNS
PRESTIGIOUS GOLD LIFE MASTER

Diane (Tredway) Hurt is a native Californian born in Hollywood California but attending school in Downey, CA.
Diane attended Ceritos College before attending USC.
She had a professsional career as an accountant working
for Charles Luckman & Assoc. as well as Owen Pacific
Roofing in Los Angeles.

Diane was encouraged to learn bridge from her parents.
Diane began bridge by taking lessons from Hal Kandler
at the Del Rio bridge club in Downey. She was ranked first in California and 5th nationally in the intermediate/
newcomer category in 1982.

Diane met her future husband Edgar (Eddie) Hurt at this bridge club in 1980. They married 11 months later and have played bridge together for their entire married lives. Diane and Eddie retired to Lake Havasu City where they built a new home.

Diane has won about a dozen Regional titles and scores
of Sectional titles. In 2006, she won the 1500-2500
Mini-McKenney award for Unit 355. Most recently, Diane and Eddie partnered with Suzanne Wells (another Gold Life Master in 2006 from Northern Arizona) and Dolores Sweet
(Suzanne's mother) to win the Bracket I Sectional
knockout in the March Sedona Sectional. (see
